As an Admin on your account, you can make structural changes to the data that is being brought into AskNicely. Visually simplify your Dashboard by changing the displayed name of data fields for filters, or even create new data points within AskNicely itself.
Overview
The main Data Management Page allows you to view all the historical Custom Fields that you have imported into AskNicely.
For each Custom Field, you may manually override their data definition or make the field visible/invisible throughout the platform. The data will be visible with all CSV/API External Reporting.
Editing Custom Fields
Field Label
Your ability to customize the name of the Custom Fields imported into AskNicely may vary. To make the data more easily digestible to your Teams, you may want to change the name of the Field as it appears throughout the platform. Simply type the name you want to label the Field. Special characters and punctuation are not permitted.
Data Definition
Depending on your use case, Frontline Teams may want to direct a specific Custom Field to define the Scorecard metric.
Date fields can also be redefined differently than their Import format (ie. ISO vs US) to match other date field.
Some of these changes will produce an icon in the Definition column for easy reference.
For all other options displayed, contact your CSM to discuss strategies for usage.
Visibility
All imported Custom Fields will be visible by default. To hide specific fields not generally used for Reporting, Filters, or other visualizations on the Dashboard, you may deselect the checkbox. The fields will still exist with any Data export for Contacts or Responses.
New to Fall 2022
Custom Field origin now displays for all newly updated or imported fields. Audit where your fields are coming from to ensure you are importing the right data from the right sources!
Team Groups
Frontline-enabled accounts will have the ability to rank specific Data Fields to match the physical hierarchy of their teams.
Create as many groups and tiers as needed to rank the importance of your data fields. For assistance with strategies for ranking, please contact your CSM.
Custom Groups
Not all the data that you are able to import into AskNicely can tell the story of your Contact's journey. As well, some data may be directly tied together, where grouping is key to your Reporting.
