Setting Up an Email Alert for Automated Surveys in AskNicely
This guide explains how to create an email alert in Salesforce to trigger surveys via AskNicely.
Step 1: Create a New Email Alert
- Navigate to the Salesforce Setup Screen.
- Search for Alerts and select Email Alerts.
- Click Create New Email Alert.
- Assign a name, such as Opportunity Survey Trigger.
- Set the Object to Opportunities to ensure the trigger is tied to the correct data.
Step 2: Select the Email Template
- Under Email Template, select the template created in the previous step (e.g., Opportunity Survey Trigger).
- Ensure the correct template is assigned, as it dictates the survey data sent to AskNicely.
Step 3: Configure the Recipient
- Scroll to Additional Email Addresses.
- Open AskNicely and navigate to the App Store.
- Locate the Email to Survey option.
- Copy the provided email address (e.g.,
jarvis_xxxxx@emailtosurvey.asknice.ly
). - Return to Salesforce and paste this email address into the Additional Emails field.
Step 4: Save and Complete
- Ensure there are no disabled settings preventing email sending.
- Click Save to finalize the email alert setup.
- The email alert is now active and ready to trigger surveys when an Opportunity meets the defined criteria.
