AskNicely's NetSuite integration is a fully-automated, super-powerful, and extremely flexible solution that allows you to use your NetSuite reports to define who will receive surveys in AskNicely.
Step 1: Build & Export your Report in NetSuite
You will first want to build a Report or Saved Search in NetSuite. This NetSuite article talks through how to build a report in NetSuite.
Step 2: AskNicely: Configure your CSV Importer
This AskNicely help document walks through the process of creating a CSV Importer.
- If you want to immediately survey your contacts when the NetSuite trigger syncs your contacts into AskNicely, make sure you configure your CSV Importer to choose either the 2nd or the 4th option when choosing the answer to the "What action do you want this CSV Importer to complete?" question.
- If you just wish to import your customers into AskNicely and then send users in our system, choose the 1st or 3rd option.
Once your importer has been created, a unique email address will be generated that you can mail attached CSV files to. (See the email address shown in blue in the screenshot below.)
Step 3: NetSuite: Configure "Trigger" to export the Report by email
This help article explains how automatically send Saved Searches or Reports. We want NetSuite to export a report as an emailed CSV attachment.
- You can either set up your Report to email ALL of your contacts over to AskNicely on a daily basis, ensuring that your Contacts list is always up to date.
- You can have your Report be only a portion your contacts
You will want to set the triggered Netsuite email with CSV attached to be sent to the email address created by your CSV Importer in Step 2 above.
Step 4: Test your Netsuite Trigger
Configure your report so only you or a test NetSuite user qualifies. (Example: "Email = firstname.lastname@example.org.") Run through whatever steps you've created fire off the NetSuite trigger.
Step 5: Sync your entire Report
Once you have validated that the CSV Importer is working, go ahead and open up the entire report to everyone that you wish to survey.
Step 6: Turn on a Send Scheduler (Optional, depending on Step 2)
If you did not choose to send your surveys immediately when setting up your CSV Importer in AskNicely, your NetSuite customers will be only added to AskNicely. You can then use Send Schedulers to handle the actual sending of the surveys.
Once you've accomplished all 6 steps, you should have a fully functional, one-way NetSuite integration; if you would like to look into sending information back into NetSuite, we would recommend exploring the Webhooks app in the AskNicely App Store, found by clicking App Store > Discover.
