AskNicely's most common delivery method for sending surveys is emailing surveys (over Web Surveys and SMS surveys). We are champions of this for several reasons:
- Emailing can give you a good baseline response rate, which can then be used as a point of comparison against other delivery methods.
- You have many more options to create a bespoke, customized Survey with emailing surveys - Web Surveys are dependent on the skills of your Web Development team, and SMS surveys are very plain.
- Emailed surveys can be ready and out the door within 20 minutes with our CSV Importer - SMS surveys take a couple of days to set up on the AskNicely back end.
- Emailing is the easiest way to set up our system, and can provide a valuable jumpstart to your Customer Experience Program
As with all of our Surveys, emails can either be sent on a recurring basis ("Touch Base" Surveys") or triggered by an event ("Follow-Up Surveys"). You have the option of configuring emails to be sent from your "email domain" - this means surveys will be sent from "noreply@[YOUR_ORGANIZATION].com", where everything after the @ sign will match the text that is in your personal business email.
Following the steps in our "Know Before You Go, Part 2: Configuration Fundamentals" help article can get you up and running in short order with AskNicely. We really think you should try this on for size! It's a great way to get a feel for how contact data and response data propagates in the system - if it ultimately doesn't suit your purposes, we can always modify the data you received from these surveys to "fit" with your existing survey data, or we can just wipe it away and start afresh. Reach out to our Support Team (support@asknice.ly) if you need help with either of these options!
