It is possible in AskNicely to send surveys on specific date info - you can test this in your AskNicely account by going to your Send page, creating a new Send Scheduler, then choosing "created" in the first dropdown. You will see the operators change, as shown below:
Important note: this does not happen automatically! AskNicely cannot detect if a custom data field is a date field. An Admin has access to convert that field into a Date field. Head over to your Data Management page to do so.
Once this is done, a whole world of possibilities opens up - namely, the ability to use the Send Scheduler to send one-time Follow-Up Surveys. As shown in the screenshot above, because we have the date field and are using the is exactly operator, we can set the last dropdown to say "Don't Repeat." This ensures a Survey will only be sent once.
- A typical use-case for this is "Lifecycle" surveys, where surveys are sent at different points at the customer journey. If we have a date field (say, "closed_won_date")...
- ...We can set up a scheduler for each phase of the journey, surveying at 2 weeks, 3 months, and 3 months before the yearly renewal:
- One scheduler would be set to:
- closed_won_date | is exactly | 14 | days | ago | don't repeat
- The next scheduler would be set to:
- closed_won_date | is exactly | 90 | days | ago | don't repeat
- The last scheduler would be set to:
- closed_won_date | is exactly | 270 | days | ago | don't repeat
- One scheduler would be set to:
