Connect your Monday.com CRM with AskNicely to automatically trigger surveys based on updates within your boards. This integration uses AskNicely's Email-to-Survey feature to pass contact data via email from Monday.com—no code or developer support required for the basic setup.

⚠️ Know Before You Go

  • This integration is one-way only — response data from AskNicely does not sync back to Monday.com.

  • It uses the Email-to-Survey feature in AskNicely to create new contacts and send surveys.

  • If you want response data sent back into Monday.com, your team will need to use the AskNicely API (Settings > API) and have a developer involved.

⚙️ Step-by-Step Setup

🔧 In AskNicely

  1. Navigate to App Store > Integrate > Email-to-Survey.

  2. Create a new Email-to-Survey address.

  3. Copy the email address provided — you’ll use this in Monday.com.

🛠️ In Monday.com

  1. Create a New User in Monday.com using the Email-to-Survey address you generated in AskNicely. The user email is the Email-to-Survey address.

  2. Go to the board where you want to trigger survey sends.

  3. Set up a new automation rule:

    • Example trigger: “When status changes to ‘Done’…”

  4. For the action, select “Send an email to a user” and choose the AskNicely user.

  5. Compose your email body to include only the field names and values that should be passed to AskNicely (e.g. firstname: {{First Name}}, email: {{Email}}).

  6. Save your automation and run a test to confirm successful delivery and survey send.

🧪 Tips & Best Practices

  • Use segments or unique fields in your automation to customize survey routing or templates.

  • You can format the email to include additional custom fields like location, job title, or customer type.
