🔗 JobAdder Integration

Connect AskNicely to JobAdder to apply NPS surveys to both Candidates and Clients—helping you uncover critical insights into your recruitment process.

🧠 Introduction

JobAdder is a recruitment platform designed for both staffing agencies and internal recruiters. The AskNicely integration enables you to collect feedback at key moments in your hiring process, helping you improve the candidate and client experience.

⚠️ Note: JobAdder currently does not pass a mobile number to AskNicely. All surveys are sent via email only.

🔌 Connecting AskNicely to JobAdder

  1. Log in to both your AskNicely and JobAdder accounts

  2. Go to App Store > Integrate > JobAdder in AskNicely

  3. Click Connect with JobAdder and follow the prompts

    • You’ll be asked to grant offline access so we can sync data daily

  4. Once connected, you’ll return to the JobAdder Integration configuration screen in AskNicely

🧪 Don’t worry—connecting won’t immediately trigger any survey sends. You’ll have time to configure everything before launching.

⚙️ Configuring Import Settings

  1. In AskNicely, go to App Store > Installed Apps > JobAdder > Configure > Edit

  2. You’ll see a list of Job Application Statuses

    • Select the statuses you want to import

    • Click Save Changes

🔁 AskNicely only syncs contacts who:

  • Match a selected status

  • Have been updated in the last 24 hours

💡 Don’t see a status you want?
Statuses must be marked as Closed in JobAdder’s Admin settings. To update:

  • Go to JobAdder’s Status Configuration page

  • Check the Closed box next to each applicable status

🧪 Creating Survey Templates by Status

  1. In AskNicely’s JobAdder configuration, go to Survey Template Configuration

  2. Select “Use a column to identify my template” and choose the Segment field

    • In AskNicely, Job Status = Segment

  3. Go to Surveys > Manage Templates

  4. Create a Survey Template for each status

    • Template names must match the exact Job Status name

  5. Customize each template’s Survey Start and Survey pages

  6. Repeat for all Statuses you plan to survey

🚀 Automatically Sending Surveys

By default, synced contacts are imported into AskNicely, but surveys are not sent automatically.

✅ Recommended Setup: Auto-Send

  1. In the JobAdder configuration page, toggle “Automatically send survey to imported candidates” to YES

  2. Surveys will send 2 days after the candidate's status updates

  3. Survey emails will be sent at 11pm local time

⏱️ Alternative: Use a Send Scheduler

If you prefer manual control, you can use a Send Scheduler instead of enabling auto-send.

📨 Viewing AskNicely Responses in JobAdder

Once a candidate submits their survey:

  • Their score and comments are pushed into JobAdder

  • Responses appear as a note with type AskNicely Response

  • These notes are tied to:

    • The job application

    • The candidate record

    • And are labeled as “created by” the AskNicely-connected user

🔍 Use filters in JobAdder to quickly find and search AskNicely Response notes.
