If you are using Zoho CRM, you can sync your contacts to AskNicely using their Reports tools. This article outlines how to automate the process so new contact data flows seamlessly into AskNicely.
Weβll be using the following three tools to complete the automation:

A Zoho Report β A custom report containing your active contacts.

Zoho Report Scheduler β Requires Zoho Professional+ to send the report on a scheduled basis.

AskNicely CSV Importer β A tool that processes incoming contact lists automatically via a dedicated email address.
π οΈ Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Create a Zoho Report
Create a report in Zoho with all necessary contact and custom data fields. We recommend focusing on active contacts rather than leasing or other contact types.

Export the report as a CSV file.
2. Set Up Your AskNicely CSV Importer

In AskNicely, go to the Contacts page and select Import Contacts.

Follow the instructions to create a new CSV Importer.

Once configured, AskNicely will generate a unique email address where the report should be sent.
3. Schedule the Report in Zoho

Return to Zoho Report Scheduler.

Configure a Journey to send your CSV report on a nightly schedule.

Send the report to the email address generated by the AskNicely CSV Importer.
Once the setup is complete, AskNicely will automatically import your Zoho contacts on a recurring basis.
βFAQs & Common Issues
Q: Can I have more than one Zoho Report that I send?
A: Yes, but youβll need to repeat the steps above for each report using a new CSV Importer.
Q: Can I email all the contacts in the report immediately?
A: Yes. You can configure your CSV Importer to trigger emails upon import. AskNicely will still obey your contact rules as configured on the bottom of the Send page.
Q: Will the survey responses sync back into Zoho?
A: Not automatically, but you can use Zohoβs Email Parser to build a basic return workflow:

Go to Zoho Settings > Channels > Email Parser

Create fields to capture NPS score and comments.

In AskNicely, build a Workflow Email to send these values back to Zoho.
