When survey response options always appear in the same order, some answers may be chosen more often simply because they’re listed first. This phenomenon—called selection bias—can lead to skewed results and misleading insights.
To combat this, AskNicely allows you to randomize the order of answer options in specific survey questions. This ensures that each option gets fair visibility, helping respondents make more objective, thoughtful choices.

Step-by-Step Instructions
✅ Enable Randomization for a Survey Question

Go to the Survey Template you want to edit

Enter the Conversation Builder

Select the List Question (also known as a “Multiple Choice” or “Topics” question) you want to randomize

Look for the randomize options toggle—usually found under the list of answer choices

Turn it ON

Save your changes
