This article explains how to use the Manage Templates page. This page allows you to create, organize, and archive your templates to keep your workspace structured and efficient.

🚀 Step-by-Step Instructions

Navigating to Manage Templates

1. Open the Survey page.

2. Click Manage Templates in the top left corner.

Creating a New Template

1. Click the Create a custom survey template button.

2. Use the first dropdown to choose the existing Template you wish to duplicate (all new templates must be duplicated from an existing one).

3. Name your new Template.

4. Click Save.

5. Your new template name will now appear in your list of Templates on the Survey page, where you can click on it to edit it.

How to Change the Name of a Survey Template 

Template names cannot be directly edited. A duplicate template must be made with the new name. 

1. Click the Create a custom survey template button to duplicate the existing Template.

2. Enter the new name for the duplicated Template and save it.

3. Archive the original Template (see instructions below).

⚠️ Important Note: Be sure to check any functions that are dependent on a matching Template name before archiving the old one. This includes:

• The SURVEY TEMPLATE CONFIGURATION section of Importers

• The Survey Template page of an API configuration

• The Custom Template dropdown of Schedulers

Organizing and Finding Templates

• Searching: If you have a long list of Templates, use the search bar at the top of the page to find what you need quickly.

• Creating Folders: Click the +Folder button to create a new folder.

• Moving Templates to Folders: Click the Move button next to the specific Template and choose your desired folder.

Archiving Templates

Templates cannot be permanently deleted, but they can be archived to clean up your list.

1. Locate the template you want to remove.

2. Click the red archive button next to the template.
