Enable self-registration to allow users to create their own AskNicely accounts with role-based filters and location assignment—without manual provisioning by admins.

⚙️ How to Enable Self Registration
Go to Settings (⚙️ icon) > Users > Self Register
Check the box to Enable Self Register
🏢 Require Users to Select Their Place of Work
Ties into the Locations App
Displays a dropdown menu that lists all available Location fields (e.g., Region, Branch, Store Name)
Used to assign self-registered users to the correct place of work via your existing location data field
📧 Require Email Addresses to Match Specific Domains
Enter a list of approved email domains
Example:
@mycompany.comIf a user attempts to register with an unapproved domain, they’ll see this error:
“We could not register your email. Please contact your AskNicely administrator”
👥 Assign Role to All Self-Registered Users
Choose the User Role to assign new users to
Only roles with at least one active filter (e.g., Scorecard or Lock Filter) will appear in this dropdown
Roles without filters are excluded
✉️ Send Notification When a Teammate Joins
Add an email address to receive alerts when a new user self-registers

Email includes:
Name and email of new user
Account name
Number of available user slots
Link to the Users page
📲 User Verification via SMS
When a user self-registers, an option to will be made available on the User page to send a notification to the new User. They’ll be prompted to verify their account via text message
💾 Don’t Forget to Save!
Click the blue Save Changes button at the bottom to apply your configuration
