Welcome to the AskNicely Salesforce demo! We’ll provide a high-level overview of the integration, covering the quick setup process, how to import contacts via Salesforce reports, methods for triggering surveys, how response data is pushed back into Salesforce, and the ability to access an embedded AskNicely view directly inside Salesforce.

🔌 Connecting AskNicely and Salesforce
Integration is quick and uses a simple OAuth connection with Salesforce admin credentials (production or sandbox). From the AskNicely dashboard, go to the App Store, select Salesforce, and authenticate. If already logged into Salesforce, the connection happens immediately.
⚙️ Setup Steps
After connecting, you’ll be prompted to install a managed package (recommended for all users). Installation takes 5–10 minutes. Once complete, you can begin importing contacts and triggering surveys directly through the integration.
📊 Importing Salesforce Reports into AskNicely
Reports are the foundation for importing contacts and triggering surveys. To set this up, you first build or select a Salesforce report (e.g., Contacts and Accounts). The only required column is email address, but any additional fields included in the report—such as custom Salesforce fields—can also be mapped into AskNicely.
🔄 Syncing & Surveying from Reports
Once the report is added through the Salesforce integration in AskNicely, you map fields, choose a survey template, and confirm matches. Reports sync automatically every 24 hours at a chosen time, or manually on demand. Imported contacts can then be surveyed manually, scheduled on a cadence, or triggered directly when the report syncs. Multiple reports can be added and linked to different survey templates, supporting both relational and transactional survey use cases.
📊 Viewing Feedback in Salesforce
Survey responses can be opened directly from AskNicely via the Salesforce icon, linking you to the contact record with full response history. Feedback also appears on accounts and cases, associated with related details like case numbers. Additionally, AskNicely can be embedded directly into Salesforce using an iframe tab, so teams can access customer feedback without leaving Salesforce.
