✨ Introduction
After enabling the Salesforce integration, many users add the AskNicely tab directly to Salesforce. This allows the AskNicely dashboard to be viewed without leaving Salesforce and provides the same filtering and leaderboard functionality available on the AskNicely website.
⚠️ Important Notes

If a Salesforce user views the AskNicely page in Salesforce, AskNicely checks the user's credentials against the Active Users in AskNicely.

If the email address matches:
They will be given all of the rights and visibility that they have in AskNicely. -
If the email addresses do not match:
AskNicely will create a read-only user account assigned to them.

New read-only users created from Salesforce access do count against your AskNicely user license limit. Please reach out to accountmanagement@asknice.ly to increase your limit.

These users are not automatically sent an invite.
🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions
Setting it up consists of two steps:

🔐 1. Configuring Access

Click on Setup in the top menu of Salesforce

Select Manage Apps from the Administer Bar

Find AskNicely in the list and click Edit

Under OAuth Policies, confirm:

Back on the Connected App page, click the AskNicely name/link

Scroll down to the Profiles section and click Manage Profiles

Tick the box next to all the profiles you would like to have access to the AskNicely Dashboard.
➕ 2. Adding the Tab in Salesforce

Click the plus (+) / add tab in the Salesforce tab bar

Click Customize My Tabs

Move AskNicely from Available Tabs to Selected Tabs

Click Save
