🧠Introduction
To boost your online reputation, it's critical to direct satisfied customers to leave positive reviews. AskNicely’s Workflows feature allows you to do this automatically—resulting in up to a 10% increase in reviews, especially on major platforms like Google Reviews.
While Google Reviews is the most widely used, this feature works with any review site that supports direct links, such as Yelp, G2, Trustpilot, or industry-specific directories.
⚠️ Note: Google Reviews only work for businesses listed on Google My Business. If your business isn't on Google Maps, you won't be able to link directly to your review page.
🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Go to the Workflows page in AskNicely.
Workflows are automatic messages triggered by specific survey responses (e.g., a promoter score). -
Locate the “Get More Reviews” Workflow.
Scroll midway down the list of templates on the Workflows page to find this pre-configured option. -
Generate your direct review link:
-
For Google, use Google’s review link generator to create a direct 1-click review link for your business.
-
For other platforms, follow their documentation to generate a shareable review URL.
-
-
Insert your review link into the email content using this HTML structure:
-
Replace
"https://yourreviewlink.com"
with your real review URL. -
Replace
"Leave us a review"
with whatever call-to-action you’d like (e.g., “Share your experience”).
-
-
Customize the rest of the workflow email content to reflect your tone and brand voice.
-
Save your workflow — and you're done!
🎉 You're now set to automatically request reviews from your happiest customers!
đź’ˇ Pro Tips
-
Target Promoters Only: Restrict the workflow to only trigger for customers who gave you a 9 or 10 NPS score to increase the odds of a positive review.
-
Track the Click Rate: Monitor engagement in your Workflow analytics to fine-tune your messaging. Check out the "Stats" page for your Review Workflow.
🔄 Set Up Alternate Templates to Drive Reviews to Multiple Sites
If you have multiple review sites you want to drive traffic to (e.g., Google, Yelp, G2), you can randomize which one customers see, all within a single workflow.
AskNicely allows you to create up to three randomized email templates within one workflow, eliminating the need to build separate ones—unless you want to route specific customer groups to specific review sites.
Here’s how to set this up:
-
In your Workflow, next to the email body section, click âž• Add Template.
-
A new template—Template 2—will appear below the original.
-
Customize this second template with different wording and link it to a different review site.
-
Repeat to create a third template, if desired.
AskNicely will automatically select one of the templates at random for each eligible contact.
