Coming Soon: Slack Integration V2
We're rebuilding the AskNicely Slack integration. Here's what's on the way:
- Smarter response cards: Custom field labels instead of raw data names, rich formatting, and color-coding based on response type.
- Take action without leaving Slack: Reply, add notes, trigger workflows, or open/assign a case directly from the response card.
- Two-way threads: Notes and replies sync between Slack and AskNicely automatically.
- NiceAI is coming to Slack: Insights Agent will be able to push proactive insights to your channels, and a
/asknicelyslash command will let you ask questions and get answers right in Slack.
Ask NiceAI
- Suggested Prompts on the Ask NiceAI Bar: Suggested prompts now appear directly on the Ask NiceAI bar.
- Extended Zendesk Ticket Lookup: Ask NiceAI can now find Zendesk tickets filed by anyone at the respondent's company, not just tickets filed under their exact email address.
- Survey Recipient Lookup: Ask NiceAI can now answer questions such as "Who was sent this survey?" and "Who hasn't responded yet?".
- Save Changes on Edit Report: Editing a saved report now has an explicit Save Changes button, so it's always clear whether your edits have been kept.
- Enhanced Report Save Flow: The save flow no longer shows delivery and format options unless users have turned on email delivery for the report.
- Download Shared Reports: Reports shared via a public link now have a Download button, matching the export option already available inside the Ask NiceAI chat.
- Role Permission for External Sharing: Admins can now control which user roles are allowed to share Ask NiceAI reports externally via a public link.
- Ask NiceAI as an MCP Server: Ask NiceAI's tools (NPS summaries, survey responses, leaderboards, and more) are now available as an MCP server for users with the NiceAI add-on.
General Improvements
- Rich-Text Formatting - Font & Color: The rich-text editor used in the Reply composer, Reply Templates, and Workflow emails now supports font type and text color, alongside existing bold/italic/list/link formatting.
- Survey Preview Shows AI Summary: When "record responses" is turned off, the survey preview still shows the AI Summary review for surveys that include AI questions.
- WhatsApp - New Workflow: Users can now set up a workflow that, when customers reply to a WhatsApp survey message without completing it, sends and automated response.
- Enhanced Contact Importer Settings: Two new toggles allow users to specify actions for the survey template and status of existing contacts.
- Clearer Field Mapping Labels: The Importer and Integration mapping pages now use clearer labels to distinguish "use an existing field" from "create a new field" when mapping CSV headers.
- Survey Count Against Contacts - Follow-Up Work: The Surveys Sent column is now available on the legacy contacts list, the contact history view now includes a list of unanswered surveys, and the per-contact survey export now includes a Response ID column.
- Features Sunsetting:
- Switched off the following features for all accounts: Inbox, Notices & Playbooks, Staff Suggestions, Insights v1/2, Repeat Customers
- Turned on the following features for all accounts: Frontline Manager and Frontline Staff Dashboards, the new Digest experience, and the latest mobile app.
- "Is Empty" Filter Option: Response filters now include an "Is Empty" option for text, select, and custom fields
- Repeat Responder Score Change: The Responses page now shows the score change (up or down) for contacts with multiple responses, matching the behavior already on the Overview page.

- Spotlight View Update: The Scorecard and Themes sections in Spotlight View now show score, response volume, and sentiment distribution together, without needing to toggle between views.

- Users with correct permissions unable to add notes: Resolved an issue where users with note-adding permissions could not add internal notes on responses, despite having the correct role configuration.
- Mobile app displaying deactivated Home tab: Fixed an issue where the Home tab continued to appear in the mobile app after being deactivated in the user role settings
