🧾 Introduction
AskNicelyTV is a powerful way to display real-time customer feedback and metrics across your organization using a wall-mounted screen or large monitor. Once you’ve physically set up your AskNicelyTV device (see our TV Setup Guide), this article walks you through customizing the visual and data settings that appear on screen.
⚙️ Changing the Filters
To adjust what you see on your AskNicelyTV Dashboard:

Click the ☰ triple bar menu in the top-left corner of the AskNicely TV screen.

This opens up your display configuration options:
Display Options:

Saved Filters
Select from any saved views or filters you’ve created in your standard AskNicely Dashboard. -
Period
Choose the time frame of data you want displayed:
• 30 days
• 7 days
• 24 hours -
Leaderboard
Choose a custom field (like location, team, or agent) to display in the Leaderboard. -
Hide Empty Responses
Hide scores that don’t have a comment—useful for focusing on feedback-rich responses. -
Hide Names
If AskNicelyTV is in a public or shared space, hiding names may be preferred for privacy. -
Hide Email Addresses
✅ Highly recommended for public display to maintain confidentiality. -
Enlarge Responses Text
Doubles the font size for better readability from a distance. -
Dashboard Title
Customize the title shown at the top of the TV screen. The default is “Real Time Net Promoter Score,” but you can rename it to something like "Jarvis AskNicely TV."

Edit or delete default views

Paste in custom view URLs to feature saved filters in the rotation

🛠 Customize via URL
To reveal and further tweak the TV slideshow view:

Go to your AskNicelyTV slideshow.

Remove
/slideshow
from the end of the URL in your browser address bar. -
Modify the parameters manually (e.g., filter, duration) or paste in a different saved view.

Q: Will the TV remember my filter settings after a reboot?
A: Yes—as long as the session isn’t cleared, AskNicelyTV retains the selected Saved Filter or view.
Q: Can I display metrics other than NPS (e.g., CSAT or FiveStar)?
A: Absolutely—just change the primary metric filter before saving your custom view.
