What is the Survey Report?
The Survey Report provides a dedicated performance analysis for a single, specific survey template in your account. It tracks the entire survey lifecycle, from send to response, and breaks down the results of every question in the exact order they appear in the survey.
Why Use Survey Reports?
Identify Drop-off Points: Clearly see the percentage of respondents who abandon the survey at each question, allowing you to fix confusing or high-friction questions.
Analyze Specific Surveys: View all questions and results for one survey template without confusing, aggregated data from other surveys.
Track Program Health: Easily monitor key metrics like overall completion rate, response rate, and time-to-complete.
Optimize Survey Design: Use granular, per-question insights to improve the design and distribution of your surveys.
Filter by Segment: Break down results, custom data fields (e.g., Vendor Name) and more to understand how different customer segments respond.
Key Features of the Survey Report
The report is divided into two main sections: Overview and Questions.
Overview
The Overview section provides critical operational and summary metrics for your selected survey:
Overall Score: Displays the primary score (e.g., NPS, CSAT) for the survey for the selected time range and filters.
Response Rate: The percentage of surveys responded to out of the total sent within the selected time range. Any responses received in the selected time range that came from surveys sent outside of the time range will be excluded.
Completion Rate: The percentage of respondents who fully completed the survey.
Survey Funnel View: A quick look at the operational success of your distribution across different channels.
Questions: Drop-off and Detail
This section lists every question in the order a respondent sees them, providing the deepest level of analysis:
Question Summary: For each question, you will see:
The question text.
The question type (e.g., NPS, CSAT, Comment).
A summary of responses (e.g., star distribution, score, or agreement percentage).
Drop-off Rate: The percentage of respondents who answered a specific question out of those who reached it. This is the key metric for identifying questions that cause abandonment.
Open Question Insights (Coming Soon): For open-text questions, we will provide an AI-generated summary of key themes within the responses.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the numbers different between the Overview section and the other Survey Report components?
You may notice that the Survey Sent and Responses numbers in the Overview section of the Survey Report do not match the numbers shown in other components (such as the Responses tab or charts). This difference is expected and is due to how each section calculates its metrics.
The Overview section shows:
Surveys Sent: Surveys sent during the selected time period.
Responses: Only the responses for those surveys sent in the selected time period, even if the responses came later. It excludes responses from surveys that were sent previously (outside the selected time period)
In other words, the Overview section links responses back to the surveys sent within the date range.
Questions components show:
They show all responses received during the selected time period,
Regardless of when the survey was originally sent.
