AskNicely strives to put the power in your hands when it comes to extrapolating learnings and findings from your surveying approach. While the Dashboard and Responses pages provide powerful, stackable filters, some teams prefer to dive even deeper into the data using external tools.
To support your analysis needs, AskNicely offers multiple ways to export survey data, enabling advanced insights in Google Sheets, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, or any modern data visualization platform.
π Exporting Responses from the Responses Page
The Responses page is the most straightforward way to access your contact feedback.
You can export your response data in two ways:
-
Export All Responses
Click the blue Download button and select "All Results" to download a full historical export of all responses. -
Export Filtered Responses
Apply Date and Data Filters at the top of the Responses page to isolate specific segments. Once your filters are applied, click Download and select "Current View" to export just the responses matching your filter criteria.
π¨ Download Sent Survey History
Exporting from the Responses page only includes data for contacts who submitted a responseβit does not include recipients who didnβt open or respond.
To export a list of all surveys sent (including unopened and unanswered), use the "Download Surveys Sent" report:
-
Go to Responses > Download > Filtered Surveys Sent
-
This export includes:
-
Sent status
-
Opened date (if any)
-
Response status
-
All related contact fields
-
Use filters at the top of the Responses page to refine this export.
π Note: In both cases of Sent Survey and Responses CSV report, you are given the option to choose which fields you would like included. If you do not see a field in the list that you expect to see, check that it is visible on the Data Management Page
π Copy Dashboard Statistics into a Spreadsheet
The Dashboard > Statistics page offers metrics such as:
-
Response rates
-
Open rates
-
Day-by-day engagement trends
You can highlight the full table with your mouse and copy/paste into a spreadsheet. The formatting will remain intact, allowing for quick external reporting and graphing.
